Representatives of Jewish communities from 16 countries gathered at the ANU Museum from April, 29 to May, 1 2023 to participate in the first International Summit of the “Russian-speaking Friends of the ANU Museum Community”. The guests had the opportunity to meet the museum’s founders and curators, and engage in round tables about Jewry in the modern world. They also discussed the ongoing challenges of the Jewish world with Irina Nevzlin, chair of the ANU Board of Directors and president of the NADAV Foundation, as well as Leonid Nevzlin, founder of the NADAV Foundation. This was one of the largest events focused on the Jewish world held at the museum in its two years of operation. Roman Kogan, director of Outreach and Engagement, Russian-speaking communities, stated: “The NADAV Foundation is honored to welcome Jewish community professionals and leaders to the ANU Museum to reflect on the current challenges and envision the future during these difficult times, not only for Israel and the Jewish diaspora, but for the world as a whole. We hope that this forum will serve as a catalyst for the development of Jewish communities in these countries.”
